Green smoothie- easy, tasty, low calorie meal replacement

I love smoothies and the greener the better 🙂 You can have one for breakfast, you can have one for a snack, you can even have one for lunch or dinner if the mood strikes! Smoothies are a great way to pack a ton of nutrition into one quick and easy meal. I prefer smoothie after my hard training.
I love that you can tailor smoothies to suit your exact needs at the moment. Want something light? Stick to fruits and vegetables and choose a light base like chilled green tea or juice diluted with water. Or need something a little more substantial to tide you over for a few hours? No problem! Choose a base like soy or butterymilk with your choice of fruits and vegetables and be sure to include nutrient dense ingredients like nuts and seeds. One of the major health advantages associated with buttermilk is it´s calcium content. You need 1,000 milligrams of calcium daily, and each cup of low-fat buttermilk brings you 284 milligrams, or 28 percent, closer to this goal.  Getting enough calcium in your diet helps slow bone loss as you age, helps support new bone growth and staves off osteoporosis. And also takes care of your teeth. Buttermilk's calcium content offers other benefits as well, including support for cell communication and muscle contraction.
To most people, parsley is a garnish. It is that weird clump of green stuff stuck on your plate in restaurants that you toss to the side and forget about. It’s too bad,  because parsley is one of the super greens that you can absolutely use in your next green smoothie.
What’s so special about parsley? Parsley contains lots of vitamins and minerals :) For starters, one cup of fresh parsley only contains about 36 calories. It has 2 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber. Like most fruits and vegetables, parsley is a complete protein, meaning that it contains all essential amino acids. The herb is a good source of minerals like potassium, calcium, manganese, iron, and magnesium. Additionally, the herb is also rich in many antioxidant vitamins, including vitamin-A (very good to your skin), β-carotene, vitamin-C, vitamin-E, vitamin-K, vitamin-B etc.

WILD CRANBERRY

This is my favorite time of the year. It’s cranberry season and it´s time to go to the swamp because that´s the place where cranberries grow . Walking and picking cranberries in swamp  can be quite challenging (it´s a hard workout), but it´s so worth it and it's also a fun way to explore nature and wild animals (oh yes... there are moose and I see them almost every time).
If you go  in a swamp, use waterproof equipment to keep yourself dry.  Make sure to walk slowly and If you start to feel wobbly, slow down your pace (oh yes... most of the time it feels like you are walking on the flying carpet. Never go swamp alone and take your cellphone with you. With some basic preparation and safety precautions, you can enjoy a fun walk in a swamp  :)

Wild cranberries like to grow low to the ground, like a small vine. The berries are easy to identify. They are oval in shape, whitish green when unripe and deep red when ripe. The nice thing about wild cranberries in swamps are they are not treated with any pesticides and if you did  not know- cranberries benefits are absolutely incredible.
Did you know that cranberries contain one of the highest concentrations of antioxidants of any fruit? Cranberries are among the fruits and vegetables richest in health-promoting antioxidants, which protect our cells from free-radical damage. So eating cranberries is really good for your skin.

Antioxidant powerhouse

This disease-fighting fruit is one of the highest ranking, regularly consumed foods for antioxidant content per serving. Antioxidants protect cells from the damage that oxidative stress and free radicals can have on them. That damage can lead to serious conditions like cancer and heart disease. Some of the antioxidants found in cranberries include anthocyanins, ellagic acid, quercetin, resveratrol, selenium, and vitamins A, C and E.

Low-calorie flavor booster
One cup of fresh cranberries contains 46 calories. If you like them raw, they’re a great low-calorie snack.

Urinary tract infection preventer

Cranberries and cranberry juice have long been associated with preventing UTIs. There’s a substance in cranberries that prevents “infection-causing bacteria from sticking to the urinary tract walls.
High in fiber
One cup of cranberries contains 4.6 grams of dietary fiber. Fiber maintains bowel health, lowers cholesterol, and helps control blood sugar. Foods high in fiber can also help control weight because they make you feel fuller for a longer period of time.
Full of vitamins and minerals
One cup of cranberries contains 24 percent of the recommended daily value of vitamin C and 7 percent of the recommended daily values of vitamins K and E. It’s also a good source of the mineral manganese, containing 20 percent of the recommended daily value.

Waterproof mascara that lasts ALL day, even in the pool.

Finding waterproof mascara that is effective,  but not too drying is not always easy. Great waterproof mascaras help avoid raccoon eyes, and can curl stubbornly straight lashes better than most volumizing mascaras, which tend to weigh lashes down.
Those with naturally oily lids can even wear waterproof mascara on lower lashes during swimming without fear of smudging.                         I have to be honest.... I have tried so many expensive waterproof mascaras, and yes, these mascaras worked well while working out in gym or during my marathons. But the only one that lasts during my swimming trainings in the pool is from drugstore. Eveline Cosmetics X-Treme noir. From the bottom of my heart... it really truly is the best waterproof mascara and the price is only 4€ :) I know it´s so hard to believe, but it´s true. After one hour heavy swimming in the pool your lashes looks exactly the same and it is safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. This mascara has a smooth formulation that will give you gorgeous clump-free lashes, plus the uniquely shaped brush grips and extends your lashes giving you maxiumum length. Its easy to build intensity by adding mascara to individual lashes, even those in the corner of your eye.
But... you have to remember that waterproof mascara won´t come off without right make-up remover. My all-time favourite has been  from the L'Oréal, Gentle eyes & lips make-up remover.

This one is specially formulated for waterproof and long-lasting make-up. It effectively removes make-up whilst leaving your skin so soft, with no oily sensation.

The blue phase, enriched with gentle oils, instantly removes waterproof and long-lasting make-up.
The clear phase is a soft lotion to leave your skin with a pleasant fresh sensation.
Quick and easy make-up removal, with no greasy residue.
Dispense this Make-up Remover onto a cotton wool pad and gently weep across eyes and lips to remove traces of make up, repeat if necessary.
